Task One

Task Two
Investigate how the first settlers produced food.
Pretend you are a settler with family back to Britain. Write a letter to them describing the problems you have on the farm AND the damaging effects farming has on the land.
Task Three
Flora (plants) and fauna (animals) were brought to Australia on the First Fleet. Many of these had a negative impact on the environment. Today, Australia has strict laws about plants and animals being brought into Australia.
Research an animal introduced by the first settlers. Create a poster about the damage this animal has had on the environment to explain how important it is to travellers to avoid bringing foreign species into our country.
